Launched in September 2005 in an effort to heighten competition and participation in University athletics, the University Relays Series has brought together six of the best university relay competitions across the UK into an exciting series, where the title of "University Relays Series Champions" is up for grabs for the team that scores most points.

In order to score the most points consistency and participation are crucial, along with a high standard of performance. This means that the title is open to any BUSA eligible club who has an enthusiastic following of athletes.

With each of the six relays already well-established and competitive races in their own right however, the race for the title will be hotly contested.
